No Hitter: Perry Traynor of the Cincinnati Queens

Congratulations to Perry Traynor for throwing S4's second no-hitter and Hobbs World's 6th! Each year we have had 2 no-hitters, until Traynor we had only one this year. So thanks for continuing the tradition! Traynor struck 9 out while walking 4 batters, with a total pitch count of 113. After the game he had only to thank his team and the "superb defense that they demonstrated" and of course, his catchers Hugh Beard and Willie Guzman, who caught for the last three batters. Perhaps a riskt substitution with a "no no" on the line wouldn't ya say?" But hey, it paid off! "They are a great bunch, I owe it all to them." Traynor said. "No-hitter's are nice for us pitchers, they don't come all that often but when they do we love them because besides them being highlights of our careers, they also mean a "W."
