Monday May 11, 2009: Las Vegas Press Conference

To everyone in Las Vegas...we apologize for the performance we have displayed this season and would like to thank you all for your support in our efforts to rebuild. However difficult it may be to admit, the management and not the players are to blame for the sub par performance we have displayed. We may have made a committment to win now and build for later, and in that state of mind we have made too many moves. So Legends fans I am here to tell you that we will begin a rebuild of the franchise from the ground up, and while remaining competetive as possible, do not plan contending for at least 1-2 years. To achieve the level of sucess we are aiming for we have to start from scratch and begin to construct in a fashion consistent with our enviroment ( cashman field ) and our competitors. Congrats to Albuquerque in their success at the ML level and SD for their minor leauge accomplishments. To Honolulu we congratulate you on sticking it out in a tough season and look forward to competing against you and your future ball clubs as we know the competition will only get better from here. Finally the last thing we would like to say,on behalf of the players and coaches alike, is a thank you to all the owners in Roy Hobbs. Without your help and advice, the Legends would be looking at a tougher road than the one we are on now, and that is the road to success...GO LEGENDS!" - blackmamba22-
