Ben Wright Season Two AL Predicitions:

here are my predictions:

AL:
North:
1st. Seattle: Led by starter Sven West the Imperials have a solid rotation and boast an above average starting line-up so will win this division by 5+ games.
2nd. Milwaukee: If the High Lifes play above their potential there is an outside chance to win this division but may have to settle for a playoff wildcard spot. A strong bullpen featuring Cristobal Taveras will keep this team in the hunt.
3rd, Pittsburgh: Bronson O'Toole is hoping to lead the Bucos into the playoffs but will have to wait till next year. This team should finish close behind Boston.
4th. Kansas City: The Jayhawks are strong up the middle but lack the pitching to make a statement in this division and will do well to stay within 12 games of the Imperials.

East:
1st. Buffalo: Javier Ayala & Herman Torres with his strong partners in the benchwarmers rotation should be enough to win this tight division. I see this club two plus games ahead of the rest of the pack.
2nd. Boston: The Irish boast a hard hitting line-up that is the envy of the AL which gives them a good chance to win this division but should finish in second a game or two away from 3rd.
3rd. Burlington: Miguel Park may possibly lead this young staff of Catamounts to the division title if they all mature and blossom into their potential... thats how good this rotatiion may be. For now though they will be definite playoff wild card contenders.
4th. Columbus: With Archie O'Neill leading the bats & Ace Red Howard leading the Discovered America rotation these guys may also discover a playoff berth.

South:
1st. New Orleans: These guys should be the pace setters for the AL this year if the club stays healthy. Look for the Bayou Bengals to finish with this awesome line-up led by
at least 7 games ahead of their only threat the Iowa City Wonderboys .
2nd. Iowa City: These boys should finish with the 3rd best overall record in the AL this year so a playoff spot will be waiting for arguably the strongest rotation in the AL led by Tony Miller.
3rd. Huntington: This club has the potential to sneak into a wildcard berth with some good ball play but in this tough division the tide should come in just outside of a wildcard berth five/seven games back of the Wonderboys.
4rth. Wichita: 25 games back will be acceptable for the speedsters this year who need to speed up their development program.

West:
1st. San Diego: An average balanced line-up should be enough for the Surf Sharks to win this weak sister AL division by 3-5 games.
2nd. Albuquerque: Yuniesky Morales will try to lead the Pilots to their first divsion title but will fall short in a close race. With some help (trades/minors) these guys may soar to the top.
3rd. Portland: With some spirited play the Pioneers may treat their fans to a divsion title as anything is possible in this lowly division
4rth. Honolulu: In this division the Poi Boys will consider themselves lucky to be only 12 games back of the leaders.

Playoff seeds will be:
1. New Orleans 2. Seattle 3. Buffalo 4. San Diego 5. Iowa 6. Boston
