Manager Ratings: Through Season 9

Grades are in! As Hobbs Media has done only once before (Season 4) all managers have been evaluated, graded, and ranked! The rankings are based strictly on average win % (the win/loss record) over the span of your managerial career here at Hobbs. Below you will see 3 scores, (1) Win %, (2) # of games above or below .500, and (3) a Hobbs Score. The Hobb's Score is a result of a simple formula that I've created to determine the "win efficiency" of any given manager. That's right, wins are #1 when it comes to this rating scale. The equation is simple: Total wins minus Total losses divided by the number of seasons managed. The result is your Hobbs Rating that...Ta dah, tells us how many games you are likely to be below or above .500 at the end of any given year. (e.i. A 81-81 = Because that is exactly .500.)

Also, each manager has been given a grade between A-F. In season 4 I did "Tiers," but grades should be just as effective. The following is the key for your grade, and if you're a bit behind on your Hobb's movie trivia see the "Hobb's Lingo" key below:
A's = Roy Hobbs "The Natural" Managers
B's = Roy Hobbs "Wonder Boy" Managers
C's = Roy Hobbs "Savoy-Special" Managers
D's = Roy Hobbs "Bump Bailey" Managers
F's = Roy Hobbs "Flunky" Managers

KEY (Hobb's Lingo): Roy Hobbs was "The Natural," The "Wonder Boy" is Roy's bat made from the tree that was struck by lightning, The "Savoy Special" is the bat boy's bat that Roy uses when his breaks, and "Bump Bailey" was the New York Knight's star who was in a slump and was caught napping in the field during an important game!

By the way, don't get offended by your grade, the numbers don't lie! And besides, its all in good fun anyway. SO here are the Ranks!:

A's - "The Natural" Managers: These managers win (on average) 90+ games per year (or are 18+ above .500) and maintain an average winning percentage of .550% or higher.
