Recently Hobb's own J.T. Johnson, from Dakar's Kansas City Jayhawks (36-18), was chasing the Hobb's hit streak record set by jpelot's Bobby Mientkiewicz, who hit 36 in Season 4 for the champion El Paso TaTa's. Hell, he may have even been chasing the great Joe Dimaggio and his 56 game hitting streak. But since last night's pm2 game, it just doesn't matter anymore. The streak ended as Johnson went 0 for 4. Just prior to that, however, instead of publishing just another "huge trade" or flashing the newest list of "most wins" or "highest batting avg" WIS published J.T. Johnson's hit streak of 30. And the very next game..., well, it ended. Talk about sending a black cat out to cross someones path! Wis did just that.Late last night, Dakar, the great manger of the Kansas City Jayhawks (36-18) held a press conference tp thank them for the black cat. "Oh and thanks WIS for publicizing the 30 game hitting streak that J.T. Johnson was on. It ended the very next game of course. Oh well, it is easily a new team record." And so it is, 30. However, as for the league record he now ranks 3rd behind Bobby Mientkiewicz (36, season 4), and Nicholas Cassidy (31, season 2).

So here is to J.T. Johnson, although WIS grimmed ya you did a hell of a job getting those 30 in before it!
