Minor League Manager of the Year: Coltjj

Every year ONE manager stands out amongst all others in the end, both on the ML level and YES the minor league level too! The "Minor League Manager of the Year Award" will go to a manager who shows exceptional managerial skills combined with unparalleled and exemplary sportsmanship, and success. He is one who is dedicated to both the league and his entire farm system (all 5 minor league outfits). Farm systems represent our future here in Roy Hobbs World and managers such as these assure that it will be a prosperous one. So without further ado, on behalf of Roy Hobbs World and Roy Hobbs Media, I present this award to: Coltjj of the Honolulu Poi-Boys

Coltjj has demonstrated both exceptional managerial skills and exemplary sportsmanship. Not to mention success in the form of not 1, not 2, but 3 minor league championships! This honor is well-deserved. Congratulations to Coltjj for their minor league success, and for winning the Minor League Manager of the Year Award!

A Quick Look at Coltjj's Success

Beginning at the Rookie Level Coltjj's rookie club entered the post-season as the #2 seed, and had the leagues 4th best record. Following their first round bye they took on K.C and swept, moving on in just 3 games. Unfortunately the rookie club's success ended there as they were swept by N.O. who went on to win the ALCS and the championship. Honolulu's Low-A Level entered the post-season as the 6th seed wild-card. "Wild" would be a great term for what this club accomplished, as they went just that..."Wild"! This club swept every team they squared off with to get to the championship series and then swept the NL #1 Seed to win it. They went a very impressive 14-0! This is NOT an easy thing to do even with the best of teams. To sweep every team in the playoffs, and all good teams too, is incredible even for the minors. On to the High-A Level, Coltjj's club entered as the #1 seed and had the same kind of "sweeping" success. They swept their first opponent and nearlt their second, they lost only once in the LCS, and then returned to their "sweeping" ways when they swept the NL #2 seed in the championship series! They went an impressive 11-1 and brought home yet another championship! And for their 3rd, well, again they entered as the #1 seed on the AA Level. Following their first round bye they lost only once in the DCS, swept the LCS, and brought home the championship winning 11 out of 14 games. As for the AAA Level, well they just weren't that good. All in all, 4 out of 5 going to the post-season and 3 of them returning victorious "aint bad at all," in fact, is very, very, very impressive! If this is NOT a display of exceptional, unparallelled managerial skills then what is!? Either way, this is success. Success that indicates a very bright future!

A Quick look at Coltjj's Sportsmanship

I need only say that he has NEVER given anyone any problems, created any drama, and has been an outstanding owner. In fact, in his 5/23 press conference he wished all "good luck," thanked other managers including every one of his division rivals. He commented on Threester's success, referred to some great competitions with "Ice" (Iceman67) and Blackmamba22's "gung-ho" attitude), and addressed the league with a positive, optimistic outlook on the improvement of his ML division and the future of his ML club. What more can you ask of a manager!? This is a game, is supposed to be fun, and Coltjj contributes to that! So again, congratulations to Coltjj for all the minor league success, and for winning the Minor League Manager of the Year Award!
