A LOST CAUSE

We are on the endangered species list! We continue in a freefall despite the changes we have made defensively. Carlton Wade is out and Pedro Prieto is manning center field;the injured Tim Lofton has moved from second base to third to make way for Lonnie Felson at second. Since then,our errors are way down but we're still not winning. The MW rule is going to do us in unless we play over .500 the rest of the season which is highly unlikely. The loss of starting pitcher Harold Palmer for the season has not helped. The pen is our downfall;nobody is worth having but there is no farm system,nothing but what I consider to be empty promises for the future. We have to turn it up NOW-not later. If,through some miracle,I am still around next season,I would like to trade this club in for a different
one-even a bad one so long as it has something resembling a future. This club did not have anything left when I took over and still doesn't,despite my efforts to acquire whatever talent was available. Zero plus zero equals
guess what? ZERO!
