Season 3 Available Teams (Full)

Season 3 FILLED and Ready

Teams Taken and Entered

Minnesota Za Goldeyes - NL North, Season 2 Record 69-93-Reclaimed by Zanatural

Any team in the NL North can be in the playoffs next season. The Division Leader won only 8 more games, finishing at 77-85. This team has a decent balance of pitching and hitting, although not overly impressive in either category. The rotation begins with ace lefty P.J. Dunham, followed by Timothy Thomson. With a better pitching coach, and a more committed manager, the rotation can be a key to getting in the playoffs for Minnesota. To provide the runs, Bruce Collins will likely need to be re-signed. And at 30 years old, Lou Standridge can still flat out hit, ending with a .344 BA in season 2. Not a great team all over, but a manager who is committed and active, can be a playoff team even while still in rebuilding mode.

Boston Irish - AL East, Season 2 Record 89-73 - Taken By texanboiler

We could end the discussion about Boston's chances by just saying Fabregas. Sidney Fabregas, Nicknamed "Sid the Home Run Kid" by writers across the country, certainly lived up to the name. In Season 1 Mr. Fabregas hit 60 Homers and earned MVP honors. In season 2 he became the Home Run King, hitting 73 Dingers and again was Named MVP. This guy is a managers Dream. He may need to be paid the big bucks this season to have him any longer, he only pulled in 343k last season. The talent doesn't stop there, however, both Archie Werth and Davey Ramirez hit over 50 home runs each. The Bullpen is solid with Fireman Juan Javier, who had 47 saves and 2.06 era coming it to close out the game. And SP Eddie Rolls is a future Super Star. Ramirez may not sign next season, but he frees up nearly 10 mil in salary. The Irish has no short of offense, having led the league in Home Runs. A few improvements on the mound will have this team screaming "World Series!"

Oakland Breakers - NL West, Season 2 Record 86-76-Taken by lcfiore

The Oakland Breakers had 101 Wins in Season 1, but slipped a little in season 2 and barely missed the playoffs. It wasn't that Oakland was that much worse in season 2, but the other 3 teams in the NL West got better. This was the most competitive division in the NL, with all 4 teams above .531. Amazingly, Oakland's 86 wins got them last place in the NL West. Oakland will definitely be in the hunt next season. New Comer Bernard Bergeron hit 50 Home Runs in his first season in the Big Leagues, was the NL Starting Catcher at the All-Star Game, Won Rookie of the Year, and NL Silver Slugger award at Catcher. Bernard "Big Time" Bergeron is only 22 years old. The Pitching staff is solid with 17 game winner Ignacio Costilla and 16 game winner Sammy Flores, and there are a few good one's in the Farm that Could bolster the staff in the next year or two. With the right manager, and a few small tweaks, this team could be a favorite to win it all next season.

Jacksonville Suns - NL East, Season 2 Record 78-84 Taken by cwonde1

Hitting and run production is not a problem in Jacksonville. Both Clint Malloy and Diego Valdes hit nearly 50 Home Runs each. This team needs pitching! Bobby Ray and Bobby Joe can't do it all. Theodore Boyer will get better, but this team needs an ACE, a Stud Pitcher to step in and lead this team. The Key might just be working a trade to unload the salary of SS Fritz Titan. An astute manager could turn this team around very quickly.

Buffalo Benchwarmers - AL East, Season 2 Record 81-81 Taken by Yankeejoe5

Javier Ayala is the leader of this team and at age 33, he is still at the top of his game. He only has a few years left though, and needs a manager who is interested in going for it all now. He is currently in the 3rd Year of a 4 year 9.9 Million Dollar Contract. The team is not far off, in Season 1 this franchise won 90 games, but lost to Boston in the First Round of the playoffs, and most of the same guys are on the team. Ace Sp Howard Gentry and SP2 Herman Torres are ready to make a playoff run. And the newer guys like Charles Radke, Heinie Morris, and Freddy Jennings are there to make that possible.

Iowa City Wonderboys - AL South, Season 2 Record 87-75 - Taken by
ajf00529

Iowa is also a very good team. The Strength of Iowa is Starting Pitching. One of the best 3 man SP Combo's in the league. Starting with Jumbo Suarez a 19 game winner in season 2, then there is Tony Miller and Edgar Diaz. Lee Collins needs some help with the offense. He had a .298 Avg, and .400 OBP, but only managed 98 RBI's and scored only 85 runs. One answer is Jack Kennedy, currently in High A, has the potential to be a 5 tool player and is close to being ready for the Majors. Add some hitters in the offseason and this team could be in the playoffs with a legitimate chance to do some damage.

Pittsburgh Bucos - AL North, Season 2 Record 78-84 Taken by wholck

This franchise needs a committed owner to take it from mediocre to a playoff contender. In season 1, this team was second in the division and just below .500 at 80-82, and the owner jumped ship. Once again, the fans and players have lost their owner. Still at right around .500, a good manager without having to go through a real losing season, can rebuild this team and make it strong. It all starts with Veteran Right Hander Bronson O'Toole, who won 19 games this past season. And at the end of the game "Old Reliable"Jeffrey Williams comes in to close out games. He is aging (35) but he can still pitch. Williams was 32 for 36 in save opportunities and had a 2.08 ERA in Season 2. This team lacks offensive power, but had a team BA of .271. Diego Lopez will play better with time, and should become a STAR in this League. With some love and commitment for the long haul, this franchise can compete really really soon.

Wichita Speeders - AL South, Season 2 Record 50-112 Taken by jpelot

This team needs help, the #1 SP is Gerald Underwood
who has decent upside as a pitcher, but isn't really an ACE type pitcher. On the offensive side of the ball, its not much better. The team batting average in season 2 was a lowly .241. The best position players are Paul Katou, but he is 34 years old, and Albert Cueto, who isn't all that young himself, 32. Cueto did hit 40 runs to lead the team, but has only a .230 avg. There are no all-stars on this team, and the only award was Chan Aoki, who got a gold glove at 3B, but he can't. There is some help in the farm system, David Sakamoto and Cesar Pena are ready to help the offense, but as far as help with the rotation, well, there really is none. The good thing is, however, this team could add a Superstar as the Number 1 overall draft pick belongs to this club, and there has been known to be a few fantastic players slide into the Rule 5 Draft in seasons past. This team needs a dedicated and committed manager who likes the challenge of showing their skills in taking a team from the bottom to the top.

Portland Pioneers - AL West, Season 2 Record 73-89 Taken by bowlum

This team won 73 games, and probably should have only won half that many. The guys on this team played hard and didn't give up for anything. Many players were playing above and beyond their expectations, and that is attributable to the previous manager, cincysteve. A good motivator and players manager is needed here. It is also possible that some of the extra wins were a result of the poor division, which had two teams with a .383 winning percentage. However, those two teams will improve next season when some of their stronger players make their major league debut's. This franchise will be a challenge. There isn't much hitting other than Duane Dessens. Dicky Meng and Enrique Ozuna have some pop, 39 and 38 Home Runs respectively, but struggle at getting the bat on the ball. The pitching is very old. With the exception of Scott Schoeneweis, the starting rotation is all above 30, and have an average age of 33. The good thing is that most of them except Torey Prieto are due to become free agents, so basically the new manager will have the freedom to make a new team and will have lots of cap to work with.
